Previous to creating Red Door Counseling Services, I have been involved and employed in different mental health settings working with children, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals. This includes time as a neurofeedback technician, performing brain scans on individuals, as well as providing prep for forensic interviews for children. While I loved my time working in these different roles, I created Red Door in order to bridge the gap between clinical therapists and mental health and client holistic health. While our thoughts are important, therapy is about the whole human.
My style as a therapist is direct, compassionate, and open. My intention is to provide a space for you to process any challenges you may be experiencing without worry of being judged. I can assure you that I will be direct and challenge you to move towards healing, while being cognizant of how hard of a process therapy is. Humor is also very important to me, and I encourage my clients to show up as they are.
I enjoy working with individuals who are high-achieving perfectionists learning to value themselves for more than what they can produce. I also enjoy working with those on the Autism spectrum, those with anxiety issues, and/or relationship issues.
When I’m not wearing my therapist hat, I enjoy painting, drawing, reading, and writing poetry. I also love time spent outside with my family and partner, whether that’s hiking or a picnic in the park.
